Whether you have ambitions to be an international athlete or if you want to take up running for fun, Stockport Harriers is the ideal club for you.
Over 400 individuals aged between eight and eighty already enjoy the benefits of being part of a club which caters for all levels of experience and talent.
Club members include tiny tots who regularly enjoy expending excess energy, in all weathers, competitive teenagers who see themselves following in the shoes of Paula Radcliffe, Kelly Holmes or Darren Campbell, middle-aged mums and dads trying to keep old age at bay and even senior citizens who have succeeded in doing just that!
If you think you, or your children might be interested in joining Stockport Harriers, give Alan Dilkes a ring on 0161 494 1604. Although we have children in training from 7-years-old we currently have a waiting list for this age group. You can visit the Club on Tuesday or Thursday evening when you can take part to find out if it's for you.
We are always on the lookout for coaches, officials and general helpers. For further information please contact Alan Dilkes on 0161 494 1604.

In the summer the leafy park, with meadows extending down to the banks of the river Goyt, provides an extended training area for off-track sessions.
Hot showers, changing facilities and a members hut serving snacks and hot drinks are also available.

For junior members, dedicated coaches offer a wide-ranging introduction to athletics which continues throughout the year.
So if you want to meet a group of joggers to keep you company you will find them. Men and women of all ages and abilities run together for fun most of them are not chasing gold medals! More..>
